November 2025 Studio Update

November 2025 Studio Update

Fall has been.....busy. So, I'm taking a minute to post a little update on everything we've been up to around here.

In September, I got some of my product ready to be a part of the shop at Poppy & Wonderments in West Saint Paul. I put together an amazing fall-themed workshop and had a great time exploring it with the day program friends that I've been working with regularly since May. We built a fall playset, made yarn friends, fall texture collages, fall banners, created beaded pumpkins, and painted wood pumpkins. That workshop inspired several new fall products, as well as a fundraiser workshop for Best Buddies that took place in the end of October.

Also in October, I packed up the studio to attend On the Road Again in South St. Paul. It is one of my favorite fall events, and it was so amazing to visit with so many people and share my business. By mid-October I was already starting to think about winter product development! I created the winter mini-world, a rice & pasta base playset for winter & Christmas, and dough playsets for winter & Christmas. I started experimenting more with polymer clay, resin, needle felting, & watercolor. By mid-October, I began testing projects for the Dragon-themed workshops that I will be facilitating next week. I'm debuting the Create & Connect Workshop model on Monday and I hope this will be a new addition to my regularly scheduled events.

As November approached, I launched into winter product assembly to prepare the Saint Luke Boutique and the Bethesda Boutique. It is such a joy to be involved with both events. Now that those events have passed, I'm working on getting all of the wonderful products I developed onto my website for holiday shopping! I also have something very exciting in the works--a class at Poppy & Wonderments. We'll be creating a deluxe version of my Snowy Cottage Mini World, and I'm so excited to share the techniques I use on the mini worlds. Stay tuned for more details--we're planning to offer one slightly longer class time for younger makers ages 8 and up in the morning, and older teens & adults in the afternoon.

If you have read this far (hi, mom, I know you are one of them), thank you! I hope to do shop updates like this more regularly. I am also working on sending out our very first newsletter! If you haven't signed up yet--there is a box in the bottom left just waiting for you!
